Our 7-day refund promise
If you are not happy with something you bought from us, ask for a refund within 7 days of the date of purchase. You do not need to give a reason, and it does not matter whether you have downloaded, opened or used the product.
The 7 days start on the date shown on your order, in Account → Orders. We refund the full amount you paid.
After 7 days: your legal rights
After the 7-day promise ends, your statutory rights as a UK consumer still apply:
- Faulty or not as described: Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it is not, we will repair or replace it. If we cannot put it right within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you, you are entitled to a price reduction or a full refund. See Section 06 of our Terms and Conditions.
- Not yet opened: If you have not downloaded, opened or used a product, you can cancel within 14 days of buying it, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. At checkout you agree that you lose this right once you open the product.
How to ask for a refund
- Log in and go to Account → Orders.
- Next to the order, choose Request a refund (shown for 7 days after purchase) or Report a problem. This opens our contact form with your order details filled in.
- Send the message. A reason is optional for refunds within 7 days.
You can also email support@northline-digital.co.uk with your order reference, the email address on your account and the date you bought the product.
What happens next
- Our reply: We aim to reply within 3 working days.
- Your money: We refund to the original payment method through our payment processor, Stripe, within 14 days of agreeing to the refund. Your bank or card provider usually shows it within 5 to 10 working days after that.
- Your access: When the refund is made, the product is removed from your library and you can no longer open it.
- Your saved work: Any work saved in the Finance Calculator stays in your account until you delete it. You can delete your whole account at any time from Account → Settings. Before asking for a refund, you may want to download a backup from the calculator's Settings page.
Things to know
- Repeat purchases: If you buy the same product again after it has been refunded, the 7-day promise does not apply to the repeat purchase. Your legal rights still do.
- Misuse: We may decline a goodwill refund where there is clear evidence of misuse, such as copying or sharing a product in breach of the licence in our Terms and Conditions. This never affects your legal rights.
- Business customers: The 7-day promise applies to business customers too.
